How to organise Mahjong for your event –

format

We run Mahjong workshops for companies looking for team building or celebrating ESEA festivals in the workplace. Our full-time and part-time team of experienced instructors can run events for 10 to 100 people.

price

£50 per person, inclusive of all materials that we will bring. £500 minimum charge applies to any private event.

set up

Most companies can host the event in their office spaces. Tables that seat 4–6 people work perfectly — we bring Mahjong mats and full sets to each table.

duration

Each full workshop runs for 2 hours. We understand participants might join late or leave early — that’s not a problem, as we’re experienced at accommodating everyone in these situations.

WHAT WE WILL BRING

Experienced Mahjong Instructors, working at a maximum ratio of 1 to 8.
All Materials Provided – Mahjong mats, Mahjong sets, and Mahjong worksheets.
Event Organisation – Our dedicated team will set up, run, and coordinate the event from start to finish.
Winner Awards – We can prepare special prizes for the event winners.

Mahjong Events FAQs

Organising a Mahjong event for your team, your clients or your customers? Find out how we can help you with everything.

No special tables required – any standard table that seats 4 to 6 people works. We might still be able to make a longer table work.

A full game does require 4 players, but don’t worry – our instructors will either join a short table to make up the numbers or help rebalance players across tables so everyone gets a full game.

Don’t worry — we know it’s hard to guarantee exact numbers on the day. We can accommodate changes by opening or closing tables as needed, or having players share hands.

We’re happy to accept bookings as far as 6 months in advance, or as late as 1 week before your event.

Rescheduling requests must be made at least 14 days before the event and are considered on a case-by-case basis. Cancellations made within 13 days of the event date are non-refundable, as our team will have already sourced and booked everything for your event.

Yes. You can either pay in full or secure your booking with a 50% deposit, due at least 14 days before the event.

Yes. Dear Asia holds public liability insurance for all workshops, and we’re happy to share our risk assessment and insurance documentation for your internal approval process — just let us know when you enquire.

Yes. Kintsugi is a seated, table-based craft, making it easy to adapt for guests with mobility needs. Let us know any specific requirements when you enquire so we can plan the setup accordingly.
