A few questions and answers
We would try our best to receive all guest 15 mins before the session time from ground floor. But if you arrive late, and you don’t have a entry QR code, it’s quite possible you won’t be let in. Firstly, we know it could be frustrating, but our building has a strict security protocol, which means every visitor must be pre-registered with their email to receive a building entry QR code. We also apologise in advance — Saturday security staff are often part-time and may not be familiar with our events, so they might not be able to assist you much.
But don’t worry — if you have your QR code email ready, you won’t be asked any questions. Just scan at the ground floor gate, and head straight up to find our Mahjong workshops!
At Aldgate Tower, our building requires all visitors to be pre-registered for entry. If you’re joining us for a Mahjong workshop or a Just Play session, we’ll register your full name and email after you purchase a ticket via Eventbrite.
You’ll then receive an email from “Aldgate Tower” with the subject “Beyond Aldgate Tower – Building Entry Instruction.” This email includes a QR code at the bottom — simply scan it at the ground floor speed gate on the day of your visit to access the building.
We recommend checking your inbox (including your spam/junk folder) using “Aldgate Tower” as a search filter.
If you haven’t received the email, please approach the ground floor security desk and give them your full name. If your name and email were provided during booking, you should already be registered in the building’s system. Security will then be able to locate your name and print a visitor QR code for you.
Please note: if you or your guest are not on the building’s visitor list, your Eventbrite ticket alone will not grant access — registration with the building is essential.
We suggest you give us a call, we will come down to pick you up.
You can still enter the building using your QR code, and come straight up to 6th floor.
We kindly ask that you arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before your session. We may have another workshop finishing just before yours, and we won’t be able to welcome you properly if you arrive too early. Thanks for your understanding!
